The Small World boat ride in Disneyland takes on a new splendor during the Christmas holiday, especially after the sun goes down. Thousands of Christmas lights are hung on the outside of the ride. The characters that emerge hourly from the Small World clock are all dressed in holiday apparel and the animals that are shaped from the bushes in the landscaping are also strewn with Christmas lights. Inside the ride the animatronic characters are dressed in white costumes that are representative of their countries of origin.

The Haunted Mansion

From mid-October to early January the Haunted Mansion is transformed into The Nightmare Before Christmas complete with Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws. Jack-O-Lanterns and spider webs are integral to setting the mood outside the Haunted Mansion.

999 happy haunts still occupy the mansion and Jack Skellington adds a fantastical twist to a classic ride in Disneyland. Keep an eye out for Zero, Jack’s faithful pooch, filling the part of Rudolph.
